Small Group Activities & Socialization for Seniors & Caregivers

Care for aging-in-place seniors residing in their own homes and communities (vs. continuing care facilities) is not a cupcake for caregivers & senior care recipients and seniors w/o caregivers. Fulfilling basic needs (like i.e., feeding, cleaning) leaves little time for fulfilling quality-of-life needs (like i.e., cognitive activities).

Furthermore, an essential quality-of-life need; socialization is missing even more than activities for both, seniors and caregivers. An aging crisis of loneliness & isolation impacts 1 out-of-3 seniors in communities all across America. Caregivers are very much a part of the findings.

Fortunately for aging-in-place seniors and caregivers there are resourceful solutions that chips away at the loneliness and isolation crisis. Virtual caregiving used for small virtual groups by sharing activities & information and b. social media discussions based upon Senior Social Club’s virtual caregiving meetings are exciting and resourceful solutions (see Senior Social Clubs).

Activity-based virtual caregiving used for small groups and social media are solutions that help to significantly counteract and erode the socialization epidemic impacting far too many seniors and caregivers in all parts of America.
